Are We In OHIO Yet?

Since we had travelled so far into Kentucky that first day, we weren't too far away from Ohio, and that's where we were heading to next. The Ohio state line sign is in the middle of a bridge on I-75, so we couldn't stop to get a picture. Instead, when we were leaving Ohio on the following Sunday, we made a u-turn and took the photo then. I'll show you that in a future post. Anyway, we headed to Kettering, which is just outside Dayton. Gary's neice and her family live there, and we were going by for a visit. Jennifer and her boys Jarod and Jude were waiting for our arrival. We hung out for awhile, Gary had dinner with them, and then we went to soccer practice with Jen and Jude. When practice was over, we said our goodbyes and headed to Enon Beach Campground near Springfield. It wasn't that great of a place, but it was the first REAL campground I had been to in months. At least the colorful leaves were pretty to look at. We spent just one night there. It was quiet and we slept even better than the previous night in Kentucky with the big-rigs. The van's overheating problem hadn't gotten any worse during the short trip, and it would be another fairly short trip tomorrow as well. Gary mentioned going to Menard's. I didn't know where or what that was, but I was going wherever he went. I was always up for an adventure!
